Endo & ice slick
Friday Feb 15th I had a check up with My Endocrinologist, Dr. Chun nothing much eventful. The took my vitals weight, pulse.I’ve lost another 3 lbs. 3lbs lost this year so far. 45lbs lost in 2007. (48 total) My blood pressure was 131/92 not “optimal” but good specially since I’m not taking Blood pressure medicine anymore.
My insurance quit covering the Altace when 2008 hit. My Primary, Dr. Nemeth tried me on Lisinopril but it was giving me violently painful migraines. I say violent cuz it hurt so bad I wanted to punch anyone who touched me.
So I decided to not take any BP med see if I can maintain a decent BP on my own.
Dr. Chun’s keeping me on the same dose of Spironolactone for another 4 months, he had planned on decreasing it but since its the only medicine that has been effective at pulling fluid out of my deep tissue my Neuro requested I stay on a high dose to see if it would improve my Intercranial hypertension. He sent me for some blood work to monitor my kidney and liver function.
Sunday Feb 17th Robert & I had planned to go to a Bridal show but freezing rain caused the snow to melt into ice slick. We attempted to get out but just did circles and slid around the road. Lil scary, no damage, got the car back to the house. The main roads are likely fine its just getting off our dirt back road thats always a problem. The township no longer provides dirt barrels, nor do they salt/sand/scrape the road unless multiple request are sent in by the school bus drivers.

Does soy interfere with your thyroid medication?
I’ve heard that it can, and I drink soy milk WITH my thyroid pill.
