Medicaid, Birthday & “Anniversary”

Wonderful News I got a call today from Beth the Hospital financial advisor, she had spoke to my FIA worker, Brenda and was relaying the news that I have Finally been approved for Medicaid!! I should be getting my new card and info in the mail soon and they will retroactive bill back to April, So that might take care of the $400 plus I owe the Hematologist. But I still have to pay the $3000 for the prior hospital visit.

Also Beth said being approved for Medicaid will make getting Social Security Disability benefits a lot easier, because it’s through the same system and to contact Brenda about filing. So I have been playing phone tag with FIA/ Brenda to discuss what further paperwork I need to do because I already did the initial filing in May? But do have more lab results to add to my claim; Brain and Spine MRI’s, lots of blood test, x-ray, ultrasound etc.

Today was my Brother in laws 39th birthday, my parents, sister, niece and I went to Out Back for Dinner because its one of his favorite places. I had a chicken breast topped with 4 nice size shrimp, mushrooms & a bourbon cream sauce and spicy corn cakes as the side dish, was very delicious. We returned home for dessert, Mom had made a cake with an ice cream center.

I got the results in the mail today of one(1) of the four (4) blood tests I took on Tuesday, I’m not sure why I didn’t get all 4 , but no surprise my fasting insulin is HIGH. So nest week I need to call Dr. Nemeth about the rest of the results and getting my Glucophage (metformin) prescription.

Ohhh, this past Tuesday was interesting. I spent the afternoon just relaxing with Rob.
Around 6pm I expected Melissa to call me to find out what time she wanted me to pick her up. She didn’t call so I think ok maybe her plane was running late. 7pm, then 8pm go by now I am getting really worried, stressing out thinking she was in accident or hijacked etc. A little after 9pm, the time we were supposed to be at the restaurant & bar she calls and begins to have idle conversation. How Dawn had painted her bathroom while she was in Kentucky and that the Chinese restaurant they had dinner at made her sick. Now I am little annoyed and aggravated, but calmly ask her did you forget you had a date? You had begged me to set this up for you and were supposed to be meeting him 15 minutes ago? “Oh I forgot”, YOU FORGOT?!?! So I advised her to call him immediately and apologize. I don’t know if he will give her another chance and I don’t blame him, but I’m not going to set anything else up, already she has made me look like a fool.

Wednesday Rob and I did some shopping where we picked up some birthday gifts for my nephew, Aaron who will be 3 yrs old on Sunday, then went to FedEx to ship it to him in N. Carolina. Rob also bought me some cute earrings. Then we had a romantic dinner at Italian restaurant, and then cuddled at home where he watched a romantic “chick flick” with me. He said I love you probably 100 times during the day and Happy Anniversary like 6 times( its our 2 year dating anniversary), He Again talked about wanting me to move into apartment with him and marriage.
If I do get SSD, then I can pay off my debts and begin to save money, So maybe October 2007 we will “tie the knot”, we would like an autumn (fall) wedding with a Halloween theme reception.
