Today December Friday 22nd 2006 is Global Orgasm Day
What is it? It is a day when people are to unite(on individual or coupling basis) in orgasm while concentrating on peace and/ or positive world change.

‘‘WHO is invited? All Men and Women, you and everyone you know.
WHERE? Everywhere in the world, especially in countries with weapons of mass destruction.
WHEN? Winter Solstice Day - Friday, December 22nd, at the time of your choosing, in the place of your choosing and with as much privacy as you choose.
WHY? To effect positive change in the energy field of the Earth through input of the largest possible surge of human energy a Synchronized Global Orgasm. !

The Science
The Global Consciousness Project (http://noosphere.princeton.edu), runs a network of Random Event Generators (REGs) around the world, which record changes in randomness during global events. The results show that human consciousness can be measured to have a global effect on matter and energy during widely-watched events such as 9/11 and the Indian Ocean tsunami. There have also been measurable results during mass meditations and prayers.

The Zero Point Field or Quantum Field surrounds and is part of everything in the universe. It can be affected by human consciousness, as can be seen when simple observation of a subatomic particle changes the particle’s state.

Now this is not to be confused with World Orgasm Day -‘Seeking to unite the world one orgasm at a time.’ There website seems more about the celebration of personal pleasure and merchandising. All there links send you to other sites and there is no info about the event.

There is also an International Orgasm Day, August 8th -‘To celebrate body energy, ecstasy, pleasure, delight…(maybe even a little less crime/war/violence for a day!).’

Where did the “orgasm day” originate? Maybe Brazil began the tradition of the Orgasm day. A town in Brazil has been Unofficially celebrating it for some years but in 2005 it became an official day of ccelebration.
Brazil’s Orgasm Day is officially May 9, according to the city council of Brazil.
Orgasm Day celebrations include events like a series of panel discussions by sexologists from across Brazil and a presentation of Eve Ensler’s play “The Vagina Monologues.” Santolia said the idea of celebrating Orgasm Day at first created a scandal in this poor region, known for its religious fervor. But he said residents gradually residents warmed to the idea.
