Pulmonalogist & Yukiko
Thursday dec 28th I had an appointment with my Pulmonalogist -sleep study doctor, Timothy Macon. Dr. Macon discussed the results of my sleep study testing. I had stopped breathing 218 times in just 5 hrs(?) of sleep. So I am classified as having “moderately severe obstructive sleep apnea” I have to go for another test on January 12 -13, 9pm-4pm over night. For part I have to wear the CPAP air mask thing, during day you can read, watch movies or whatever and in between scheduled naps.
Afterward I went to Walmart and spent my gift card plus $$ because Mom notified me that Yukiko had called Wednesday and wanted to meet on Friday. Her Birthday is Dec 27th so I purchased Christmas gifts for her and Jim and a birthday gift for her. Amber & Anne also quickly wrapped up small gifts for me to give Yukiko from them, and My parents gave her gifts cards.
Friday Mom and I went to East Lansing to meet with my friend Yukiko, She is Japanese but lives and works in the US and she has a green card. We met at Michigan State University. She spent quite a bit of time with me and my family when she lived in Michigan. The last time I saw Yukiko was 2 years ago when I went to visit her
Yukiko has been working at a university in upstate New York for some years now. Her boyfriend, Jim of 2 years has family in Lansing Yukiko and him were in Michigan for a short while during this holiday. It was so wonderful catching up with her and finally meeting her Jim. Afterwards we went out our cars to surprise Yukiko with al lthe gifts and she was overwhelmingly surprised. The Mom and I got our own surprise, A FLAT TIRE!
Jim impressed Mom and I not only was he an intelligent, attractive and pleasant conversationalist but when we came out of the coffee shop and saw we had a flat tire he took the tire off, then the “donut” tire was flat too so he took both tires and mom to a nearby tire shop where the tires where repaired and/ or filled with air for free. So Yukiko and I got about half an hour to chat alone. Then he put the tire back on Moms car. Major points earned for being such a handy gentlemen.
