SURPRISE VISIT!
Saturday 16th around 11 pm I am down here in my dungeon bedroom and I hear a knock at the door, we weren’t expecting anyone and it seemed late for a delivery. I hear my mom open the door and SCREAM bloody murder. I about had a heart attack thinking someone attacked her. Then she begins yelling for everyone to come see who it is. It was PAUL!!!!
Paul, my brother in law has been in Iraq and been on leave for the last week visiting his wife(my sis), Amber and child(nephew), Aaron down at his military post in North Carolina. We didn’t think we were going to see Paul because he could not afford a flight up here, my parents purchased ticekts for Amber and Aaron’s months or so before we even knew Pau lwould get leave time. But Paul drove his truck up here to surprise us all. Amber and Aaron arrive tomorrow. 
Today Sunday the 17th, Paul has been helping us move furniture and stuff to the cottage so the 3 of them have a place to stay while they are here. I gave up my full size bed and will have to get use to the antique twin bed for a while. It’s twice as high as a normal bed so I need lil step to get up into it. My cats were a little upset by all the moving of furniture and having to share the smaller bed with me. 
A while ago my father inherited his parents little cottage home which is on the river side of the same street as our (once) forest side home. [In the last few years the forest has been tore down and a subdivision of HUGE homes took its place, people behind us have awful overly bright flood lights that glare right into our windows at night.] My father purchased this house because he wanted to be near his parents as he was their only child. His parents are both deceased now. The river front cottage is Not in great shape and the Michigan housing market being so awful for selling houses right now they can’t get a buyer. So possibly I will be moving in there after the New Year, “fingers crossed” if I get Federal disability income I will be doing the up keep on the house and paying rent to them so hopefully that will make enough of an income to pay for the taxes and minor expense on the house. Right now it is costing my parents $$$ to keep the house because of all the repairs, utilities and taxes.
